Kindergarten read The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School, then lived it out — baking their own class gingerbread man, discovering he'd gone missing, making wanted posters, and searching the halls to find him. He turned up back in the classroom by day's end, complete with a special visit and a gingerbread treat!

Pre-First had a wonderful start to the school year in August, diving into new classroom routines, hands-on science experiments, and engaging learning centers. The class is excited to explore new curriculum throughout the year. In September, students will enjoy a fun unit on apples, fall, and farms!

First graders kick off math class each morning with hands-on centers, building math concepts and fine motor skills together.
Second grade has been learning all about good citizenship in Social Studies! We kicked things off with a fun teamwork activity, giving students the chance to practice working together and discover what successful teamwork looks like. Along the way, we've focused on being respectful, sharing ideas, listening carefully, and communicating with kindness. We're excited to keep building these important skills as we continue our good citizenship unit in the weeks ahead!

Third grade took part in the LEGO Build the Change: Playful Schools Challenge this month. Students worked hard designing creative learning environments that meet the needs of diverse learners in fun and engaging ways.
Mrs. Owens' HR class made their first visit of the year to The Garrison Center for Aging, which serves as their service and Advent focus for the year. Students spent the visit playing bingo with residents, giving back to the community and living out the All Saints Way. All third graders will have the opportunity to visit throughout the year.

Fourth grade students recently volunteered at the South Plains Food Bank for the first time this school year! This service opportunity is part of the grade's ongoing Advent service project, and students will return to volunteer several more times throughout the year, giving back to our local community.
Music
Kindergarten has been making music and having fun in music class! They’ve been playing along with the story Howler’s First Day of Music Class and adding drums to the lively “Cookie Jar” song.
Third grade brought the music to life with a fun instrument play-along! Students made music together using hand drums, xylophones, tambourines, egg shakers, and rhythm sticks.
Pre-First is making music and exploring rhythm! Students are learning to keep a steady beat and discovering how many sounds can fit within each beat. Through stories and musical activities, they’re having fun exploring the world of music!
It’s GAME TIME in second grade music class as students practice keeping a steady beat! Our young musicians also explored the world of bumblebees, resting in their “hives” while using flashlight bees to sing along to music on the ceiling. And, they’ve been learning their NOTE NAMES and putting their knowledge to the test with boom whackers!
Fourth grade music elective students are strumming their way through our Ukulele Karate unit! Students are learning new ukulele chords and performing for their classmates as they work toward earning their karate belts.
